Money in the Wind I was a farmer in the 20’s until I took farmers lung and died. I was a revolutionary hippy, whose bottle became his bride I was an Aztec empire hunter who took gypsies in the dark Back in the time of David, I slay every king who made their mark But It’s never getting better and I’m never coming back again (chorus) So just throw the money in the wind when I’m gone Just throw the money in the wind when I’m gone And let the wind sing an empty song. Necessary evils turning good lives upside down Television visions helping the dreamers lose their ground Too much of everything the volume always high I don’t know if I want to be here the next time that I die Cause It’s never getting better and we’re never coming back again. (chorus) I remember visions of Rome and the slaves that I kept Of Atlantis’ tragedy how the world drowned while it slept I now think of my children who may now remain unborn They wouldn’t want to be here the dream that we’re living is going to see the morn, It’s never getting better, we’re never coming back again. (chorus) If Money makes you happy then baby, why don’t you smile? You’re living cozy, nobody’s fool, but your smile ain’t worth a dime It must be all the corruption; it must be all the poor But every morning don’t matter that business suit has got to be worn You’re never getting better; you’re never coming back again (chorus) It’s time to wake up people, don’t you wait another day Cause this world is a car and your drunken driver is starting to cuss and sway The road is getting darker and we’re climbing up too many hills And this International’s fifth gear is bound to get us all killed It’s never getting better and we’re never coming back again (chorus)

Dreamers Take The Wheel Don't give me no future if you won't give me a past We're stuck here lonesome and hoping quarantine won't last I'm a shoegazer stargazer not much else to see I listen to the birds and the calendar stands empty I'll celebrate with you all soon we will be free Dreamers can live again on a sunshine spree take this world by the hand to a new kind of way Someday we'll look back and this is what we'll say (Chorus) It was nothing but a bad dream now we're all awake Nothing but a mis-step of a step we had to take so now we can thrive again dreamers take the wheel we don't need the greed when we're out making our deal We'll be cherishing freedom dancing in the wind no fear will guide us feeling mystical from sin drive ourselves to burning man to take trouble no more we're stuck in a dream that won't work that can't work no more. (Chorus)

Don't Step On This Drunkard Anymore The good Lord is my sunshine, He rises with me and sets me in the cold I spend my nights alone , cold in terror and the moonlight is my home I’m just a poor young drifter, nothing I can do to gain control, But pray to the good lord that the life I lead won’t sting me when I’m old (chorus) Singing “Here’s to the sunshine Here’s to the grass Here's to the bed I’ve made my home. Here’s to the people Who hand me their spare change Although there’s better places for their small change to go Here’s to the waitress who takes all my money Pities me as I stumble out the door I must be getting older – these burdens hurt my shoulders So don’t step on the drunkard anymore. I want the love of a good woman To keep me free from darkness in my heart She’s a hunter and a fighter for the good things to keep me warm and keep me smart I’m just a poor young drifter A bunch of hippies taught me where to go. Now I’m just a cowboy with a problem and a pocket full of holes. (chorus)

Paulette's Song I'm sitting waiting lonely at the door for the happy little girl that I knew before she ran away she never knows what she's looking for and never thinks of money when she's cold and poor but she gets her way she gets a place to play she gets a play to stay. She's got an old guitar that she brings along and tries to strum a hard luck traveling song to the people she meets they tell her someday she's gonna be a star never give up where ever you are don't forget to dream don't forget to lean on the people you need (chorus) She don't feel alone cause she always feels at home and she never counts a shadow she's been lighting She don't feel alone cause she always feels at home and she never counts the shadows she's been lighting Cinderella in a golden room lighting up the tough old sailor gloom taking them away to a pretty little land that they loved and knew where everything was there just to see and do and get their own way well she's making their day and she's making them pay (Chorus)

Lethal Fires 04:02
Lethal Fires Please don't take it on yourself that you're the reason why I'm gone The questions never raised may burn inside your aching mind as well before I laid it on the lines the truth was nowhere to be found you won't see me taking you in until you stop hurting yourself (Chorus) Until the lethal fires will stray you will burn inside and wait and your habits will leave you hiding inside so I'm standing next to nothing and I'm everything to you but love don't have all the answers I'll have you know you should sleep on it for a while. Did my passion for living kill a dream you had of entering my life? but you'd evade your will to be someone who'd be a part of me before I laid it on the lines the truth was nowhere to be found you won't see me taking you in until you stop hurting yourself (Chorus)

Genuine Heart – G Harmonica no capo Chorus (Bm7)Times to (B7)win (Em)Times to (G7)fall (C) Sometimes we’re (Am) nowhere Some(G)times we’ve got it all But It’s (Bm7)ok to (B7) be you (Em) To grow in your own (G7) way (C) We’ll meet your (Am) genuine heart some(G)day (G) I know a man (C) Who’d wondered if he’d broken (G) down (Em) If anyone would help him So (A) instead he came a(C)round (G) And he made himself a hero (B7) The champion of the (Em) pained (G7) (C) We’ll meet his (Am) genuine heart some(G)day. Chorus (G) I know a woman (C) Who never chained her(G)self (Em) There was no shame or no (A) truth she wouldn’t (C) tell. (G) So the people gathered around her And (B7) they helped her find her (Em) way (G7) (C) We’ll meet her (Am) genuine heart some(G)day. Chorus (G) I know a child Who’d (C) stopped pretending to (G) laugh (Em) and funny people came around him Even (A) one dressed as a (C) giraffe (G) And he laughed so hard That his (B7) heart was out to (Em)play (G7) (C) We’ll meet his (Am) genuine heart some(G) day Chorus

It's Just The Sun Shining There's a heart lying naked I guess you'll do what you must There's a shadow mistaken for darkness covered by rust (Chorus) But it's just the sun shining on everyone else in the world But it's just the sun shining on everyone else in the world There's someone high on a mountain with a long way to go He's dug a grave for his ambitions somewhere nobody has to know (Chorus) Should he keep reaching out and slipping and falling? What would you do in his shoes? (Chorus) Life's a party we're invited but yet your dreams are met with scorn? You swear you've seen the light Since way back when you were born. (Chorus)
8.
The Real You Anyway Should I rob on the carefree highway? Get these goody two shoes off. With the end so fast approaching Nowhere anymore to stop Not sure where we're going Besides where we've already been to death What are you getting from this but the same stale sound of breath? You can light up like a circus that would help me in my day. But why be anything but the real you anyway? Same old day to day same old poker face Can't complain about the weather or the funeral parlor pace. Same old news of lynch mobs at least they get their way, so why be anything but the real you anyway? Even if I throw in the towel then what comes my way next? Some karmic hell for not putting up with paying the current debt. Someone else frustrating in what they do, feel, think or say? Then why be anything but the real you anyway?
9.
On The Winding Highway Dust off this old gem for a familiar chime think back on all the time where we've been she's leaving not telling me where she's gone and I'm not alone because of what I've seen I've seen so many things come and go you don't grow by holding tight there's times you've got to pass on through observe the truth holding on to you Maybe I don't know where to go maybe time will heal my soul maybe love is too much pain when you're living against the grain (Chorus) She's on my heart she's on my mind I stand alone I'm doing fine She's on my heart she's on my mind on the winding highway there's no fly away sign So I'm looking at my point of view without a clue of what to do but now I'm waking up alone to see a new world shining through Maybe I don't know where to go maybe time will heal my soul maybe love is too much pain when you're living against the grain (Chorusx2)
