I'm The Last Thing On Your Mind (2015)

If You Can't Follow If your guitar costs more than the clothes on your back then baby you know I'm all ears Before we make love can we cry together first? I've been running my ship on tears. (Chorus) If you can't follow then you better wait your turn and if you can't follow then you got a lot to learn You'll miss the boat if you ain't floating Game of love you're a player 'til you win Getting lucky and lucking out are two different things You don't want to meet your next ex yet (Chorus) You don't need to know me to love me You've gotta love me to know me now the journey is the destination everybody needs some sunshine on their cloud I built a mountain nobody wants to climb they all want straw-hat country songs And an insights an opinion with a drivers license on a mile running twenty years long (Chorus)
2.
In The Bohemian Times I'd love to get to know you but I remember the past clapping hands singing along and the look in his friendly eyes before he took his life I remember the songs we sang in the long gone bohemian times with no cares except for the hangover rhymes and we sat in the coffee dives poisoning ourselves for fun (Chorus) Broken hearts too heavy to be moving on shadows all around me in the frozen dawn there's no escaping shaping all the roads you're on imagining the silence turning into songs I'd love to get close to you to give you a call to make some memories that scar and fall Thinking back to something better than getting together was something that we could do Now I'm looking at empty pictures scrolling through other lives walking past the coffee dives and never looking in (Chorus x2)

Beautiful Touch There's a storm setting in and it's summertime the mountains send down the rain I'm so sad to hear the news today a dear friend passed away A flower left too long in the sun and the seasons change too much I'll miss her laughter, joy and heart I'll miss her beautiful touch. I never saw it coming but time it hurried on and pushed her to an early end these goodbyes will last so long I look forward to heaven looking back I asked too much I'll miss her laughter, joy and heart I'll miss her beautiful touch. There's a sad funny ending to those stories left untold Why do we search for other things with our surroundings made from gold? I'm going in the storm and my friends I will hold tight There's power here inside of me but my heart just don't feel right Without a leg to stand on I'll use your shoulder for a crutch I'll miss her laughter, joy and heart I'll miss her beautiful touch. I wish we had so much more time and she would reappear and celebrate the days we lived before the shadows did appear her spirit lives in memory a flower dried and crushed I miss her laughter, joy and heart I miss her beautiful touch I miss her laughter, joy and heart I miss her beautiful touch.

Little Angel By My Side My best friend I won't ever say goodbye to you Too many teardrops would fall Too many teardrops would fall You're the reason I no longer sing the blues No more teardrops do fall No more teardrops do fall (Chorus) I will go anywhere with you by my side Little angel let us ride to the sweet world outside and now lies within us the story we have cried Little angel by my side little angel by my side May you never know a shadow for a friend on a lonely open road on a lonely open road may my heart be beating on for you to depend no more lonely open road no more lonely open road My best friend I won't ever say goodbye to you

Certain Uncertainty It seems these day it's all forgotten promises coming to haunt our days Unspoken karma flowing through the misbegotten haze this certain uncertainty must be a new game I can play And we'd love to carry on before the day to day Is this all there is? is life a gift you give away? I know it could be better I feel it in these bones I carry every story ever letter But this certain uncertainty must be a new game I can play I knew it would last as long as the day runs Now we're halfway through the night Not certain how long I can find myself when there's no warming light This certainty uncertainty must be a new game I can play Never seen these days coming Adding up to empty years Innocently to blame for not becoming what more than just what this world may hold dear She comes to me in dreams wide open given to the winds of change while we suffer in the moment in the fractured levity of strange this certain uncertainty must be a new game I can play.

Illegal To Be Alone Blues I'm going to California where it's illegal to be alone I'm going out to California where it's illegal to be alone I'll get myself some peace, baby, down in No Trespassing Road I can't find nobody who'll understand me for who I am I can't find nobody who'll understand me for who I am I'm on the road to ruin nobody to even call a friend Well I got a notion someday things will go my way Well I got a notion someday things will go my way and I'll have some community who'll care about all the things I say Well there's too many people for anyone to matter these days Well there's too many people for anyone to matter these days and if you got in the paper, people, you paid some industry built on praise Got myself a mojo mama but she just don't shake it down Got myself a mojo mama but she just don't shake it down I might have gone too far to get to this old end of town
7.
Conveniences Eyes Seen an eagle fly away She wasn't going to hang around here long I watched the greed personify here we're dreaming of what else can go wrong There's a rhythm in my soul I can't hear it anymore it's from the days gone by Now there's nowhere left for dreams to go when you're looking through conveniences eyes when you're looking through conveniences eyes It's a dirty trick to keep us paying more it's got us going in and out of style we can't see the truth until it's stripped down to the core we're bored and we're walking single file (Chorus) No more songs on the radio No more pickers in Rolling Stone No more melodies to turn you on to take you from the circus ride they got you on Empty rivers plastic hugs there's a ditch where the songbirds fade away dig out your crude so you can afford to eat some food what is freedom anyway? (Chorus)
8.
I'll Never Be Alone The cars are rolling by the strangers walk along wanting to say hi to another broken song alone I choose to hide nature is my bride but if everyone has a piece of it I'll never be alone Conversations I can hear friendships far from near are rolling past my empty pen and stagnant open holes while I rummage through the dark for one more Noah's Ark a vacation from a computer generated solider on this road a picture of love in sand from an era I began I was then given a hand by this sweetheart I'll call hope But now here I emerge to see what I'm really worth to raging world of genius I'll never be alone They clatter like empty platters about a world to them that matters can't say I really care where the Illuminati goes so check out this mass excursion of a brief hollow diversion and I don't like their version I'll never be alone unless the tobacco kiss or the carcinogenic fire eats them into abyss before my eyes forever tire I'll be sitting in the urban in a forest too determined to gather true seclusion and I'll never be alone

I'm The Last Thing On Your Mind Won't somebody call Won't somebody call This heart is mine for the taking This heart's mine for the taking I'm the last thing on your mind I'm the last thing on your mind There's hard times in the making There's hard times in the making No mistaking it's all in my mind No mistaking it's all in my mind There ain't no storm clouds raging There ain't no storm clouds raging (spoken) Women are still as pretty but the poetry doesn't matter the hints of softness gone the mystics out of commission the hedons flying on singing on the streets arm and arm "I've got bad breath but my teeth are clean" this poetry doesn't matter the world raged on don't you mind? there's an albatross flying a mile above an arctic wasteland alone, like I, I'm the last thing on your mind I won't reach out anymore I won't reach out anymore I've been burned by saints and sinners I've been burned by saints and sinners So I knock on closing doors So I knock on closing doors I'll admire all the winners I'll admire all the winners Begging for more and more Steering clear of what I'm for I'm old news for beginners Cold mashed potatoes for my dinners
10.
Lonesome Hideaway Seems meaning is tucked away where's a mistress saint to the rescue? From this lonesome hideaway doesn't matter the lengths you've gone to To make it through another the day same old sweet stagnation and you look around and you wonder what better life you should be living? Am I an entitled fool? Or someone on a mission to find the spinning wheel and dance like a magician Through thick and thin we've been but I still ain't feeling rescued by laughter, bliss and camaraderie seems there ain't no way to bless you So what then should I say to the silent walls still growing as we let the clay grow dry because there's no future left worth knowing besides the kindness of strangers who break down all the walls for us and keep us surviving on in city and in forest
11.
Nowhere Close To Home You may be right to leave me here hanging again with nobody near there's no angels anywhere you going You're going nowhere close to home You get up to go and don't say goodbye you can't even look me in the eye why am I waiting for you again all alone you're going nowhere close to home Some people need to find their way and they should go it all alone too many hearts vanish without a trace going nowhere close to home So just be friendly they always stay keep to yourself what fools hide away and when you're out there don't forget your phone you'll be going nowhere close to home You may be right to lead me here hanging again with nobody near there's no angels anywhere you going You're going nowhere close to home You're going nowhere close to home

Rolling On 03:20
Rolling On I've been a long ways alone myself Rode down a thousand highways Trashed all my memories left them all stranded down this road Just for the sake of promise you said you'd be right there waiting for me but I only pray I'll find myself someday with you next to me (Chorus) But it's harder to keep rolling on it's harder to keep rolling rolling on it's harder to keep rolling on without you Yes I paid about a dollar for every cent I lost then I watched you slip away saying you'd be back soon enough Just for the sake of promise you said you'd be right there waiting for me Now I only pray I'll find myself someday with you next to me (Chorus) I've made up my mind Now it's too dark to hide I think I'll find a place until the break of day to keep dreaming of you but it's harder to keep rolling on It's harder to keep rolling rolling on it's harder to keep rolling on without you it's harder to keep rolling rolling on It's harder to keep rolling rolling on it's harder to keep rolling on without you
13.
These Hearts Of Pain These hearts of pain they can say what they will about you and you remain away never there to defend what is brought upon you Lies are cherished beheld as the law look at the world around you it's not what you thought It's just a game they play to distract you from the plain old truth you sought Goodbyes don't make you cry you've seen so many now you don't care and she's a broken little child and that's what they'll see if she ever gets there you can't believe what you see you can't believe in what you hear just believe in fear and greed and how you can take it in the rear chances are you'll be in doubt someday when laughter holds your crown and life is just a funny game you can win if you ain't caught Soldier on face the light face the fools who call you real tell them all you're on your way to where the air flows fast past mystery hill where the wind chimes wake the sleeping debts that mistakes make and where the piper pays the band you'll sing out your song to make your stand these hearts of pain they can say what they will about you.

Waiting For The Show Walking out of a cold lonely snow with my sunshine everywhere I go where's my heart in my open road? Can't get away from this road that I know She's the keeper of the flame that I burn she's there everywhere that I turn bound to be some lesson to learn and I'm just waiting for the show (Chorus) I'm waiting for the river to flow I'm waiting for where this is gonna go I'm waiting or a melting eskimo I'm waiting for the show Expectations are never real all that counts is how you made them feel sitting pretty's never part of the deal it never works unless you're prepared to steal Enjoy whatever ride by that goes if it ain't working for sure you'll know gotta figure out someplace else to go and I'm waiting for the show (Chorus x2)
