Hey There Amigo Hey there Amigo I need some time alone so walk away I'll call you on the telephone Look there Amigo there's a little girl shedding tears Go tell her all the words she hopes to hear When I see that little girl smile again when Amigo's love and help are on the way When I see that she can see again that the love she found is here to stay Hey Amigo how can she end the hatred? People killed her father in the war of man Hey Amigo her mother ran away from home she's gone now and no one understands When she was in the foster home they kicked her out she was never going to go to school now she lives at the bench at the main street and the life she lives is horrible and cruel

Times Have Changed I've seen those smiling faces frown at me and anger held out strong towards those laughing but inside my own heart I am free and thank God that I'm not the only one. I've seen those people who have set the scene and the men whom afterwards take the claim and inside their own minds they know they cheat thank God that I won't be led to that. I've heard all my secrets told back to me By men who overheard these secrets told but of course these men have not been in my shoes and have also had to bend and tie my laces too

Hard To Hide 03:42
Hard To Hide They were once lovers But they don't talk much anymore It was too hard to suffer Knowing there was no way to be sure He tried to be gentle He tried to be kind but it was breaking her heart it was breaking her heart (Chorus) and it was hard to hide it was hard to hide she couldn't hide it sometimes it's hard to hide what ever is on your mind They met on the road he was a traveler hoping to settle down they found themselves a home but soon his trucking job just stole him out of town he headed down south neath the borderline and it was breaking her heart it was breaking her heart (Chorus) She lost her patience A face of anger covered with a mask She spent two months waiting and his growling truck came rolling back and he asked her what is wrong She said, "don't you care about our love? You know it's breaking apart you know it's drifting apart" (Chorus) Sometimes it's hard to hide what's seen in every eye.
4.
Tearless Eyes Standing there at my door about to walk out of my life you turn towards me with your tearless eyes It doesn't matter whatever I said Don't give up now There's still enough ahead (Chorus) For I have fought the battle was long to gain your love that stayed so strong for the longest time Tearless Eyes And I will stay 'til you accept that I'll be here but don't you ever let your feelings hide Tearless eyes You came out of the blue you swept me off my feet well I must admit I've fallen back onto my feet don't be upset if you pass me by when I'm out on my own someday I'm gonna see you cry (Bridge) Someday you'll be standing alone Someday you will speak with your eyes Someday there'll be nothing to show Someday your luck is gonna get you down (Chorus)
5.
Across The Mountainside See all the pain Hear them cries Endless rage Has gripped the times Tomorrow's rain Falls tonight While we wait 'til day comes near (Chorus) Far across the mountainside There's a hunger that cries There's an echo that dies without any meaning and as mutiny stands alone someone's lost without a home out there and their story will always be told with no one believing. There's a way Out of here But you'll never be free From your fear (Chorus)
6.
Sultans Of This World I walk the streets in total confusion where was my mind when yesterday I was convinced it was an intrusion of my soul held up for ransom Everybody laughed out loud and they told me it doesn't matter for we are just the sultans of this world We showed ourselves to be so strong but often I questioned our fate Would we be able to hold out long when the blaze does come our way? And the blaze will hunt us down and hatefully steal our crown for we are just the sultans of this world And I know that I chose to be slow during this day of confusion I might as well get up and go outside and watch the sun but the blaze may hurt my eyes for that is the reason I'll cry when I recall that I'm a sultan of this world.
7.
Never Run Away I know I've been through pain my soul is scarred with sorrow the day you ran away it has been written in them books and shown to the world and told to every girl that you should never run away from a loving man It has just not been the same and I won't be here tomorrow I'm taking the next train and every other thing you took Will be shown to the world and told to every girl that you should never run away from a loving man When our love faded away you stepped underneath the shadow while your mind said it was too late your eyes said nothing's wrong and then you ran away my troubled mind leads me to say that you should never run away from a loving man I know I've been through pain my soul is scarred with sorrow the day you ran away it has been written in them books and shown to the world and told to every girl that you should never run away from a loving man
8.
The Lighter Side Of The Dark She's a real good girl with a complex in her pocket She knows how to figure it out when life gets rough She makes love to everyone's wishes She can't get enough She can't get it all (Chorus) Oooooh She Sees Oooooh She Sees Oooooh She Sees On the lighter side of the dark like me She can't smell trouble burning through the winter night and her basement clothes are worn with all her pride She trusts nothing but her own shoes She can't get enough And she's lost inside (Chorus) She's a real good girl under a cloud of corruption She's gonna smile when she's lost in the rain Surrendering to something all the time She can't get enough Of her ball and chain (Chorus)
9.
Day Of Confusion The anger grew the arrows flew while he lay there quietly listening Cries of terror and despair surrounded by his fear Cascading through the corridors blinded by the swirls of dust He's had many a day of confusion. There's thunder crashing slashing through all the halls of silence As he waits for every star to pour their light into light His words that still have not been said "It's either faith or fate" For he's had many a day of confusion. The silence grew the day was through but the night was quickly refused for the boy whose eyes had witnessed pain had grown accustomed to the dark but as the sun drifts up the boy awakes from his mysterious encounter and he gazed into his dreams with fearless eyes The anger grew the arrows flew while he lay there quietly listening Cries of terror and despair surrounded by his fear Cascading through the corridors blinded by the swirls of dust He's had many a day of confusion.

Maybe 02:29
Maybe Maybe baby's been too far away from home swept her off her feet put her back on her throne oh yeah Maybe steering clear from every guy she's known but I bet you pretty soon she won't be all alone again maybe been refused by everyone she loved but deep inside her heart she knew they had enough of her (Bridge) You must admit there were kinder days when you danced to the beat of your heart but no one was around to share those moments and as all those years in your life passed you by you were waiting for a better man waiting for just one more chance while you watched each man ride away into another girl's heart Maybe baby's eyes are used to seeing pain how her mother took away everything that she gained Maybe she has felt all the blows that were thrown by other people's minds from the opposite side of the road.
11.
Everlasting Myth You're barely breathing when the night comes on you like an arrow Let out a shout or two to dispel the silence (Chorus) Looking back at it now The truth came down so hard and the truth is something we can all do without. There's someone there standing outside on the corner An old friend of yours who used to court his soul (Chorus) He put his trust upon you now and the truth hits you so hard Maybe he's someone you can do nothing about. Remember to laugh when you hear tomorrow's echo Gone are the days when one could smile alone (Chorus) For the times are harder now You can guess that there's little doubt You'll catch me where you left me on this ground.
12.
The Cure 03:58
The Cure And now I'm stranded out near nowhere because there's something in the way And when I'm nowhere I've got nothing left to lose but maybe that's ok And I'm running back home in the sun And I'm running back home (Chorus) Ooooh - love's worth more than gold but broken hearts are free Ooooh - It's time to go for broke you're the cure for me. Let every man be his own Jesus Take care of what he has to do when nothing's rhyming when nothing pleases Gotta trust my point of view Gotta step to some higher ground Tired of people seeing me down (Chorus) (Bridge) And I want you to know that I want you to know I am here at your command And I want you to know that I want you to know Everything will go as planned (Chorus)
13.
Younger Than Yesterday Nobody really cares what may have happened to you Forget about the people that remember you Time stands still when they can't help but follow you (Chorus) Fall into the void for tomorrow will soon be today and everyone is younger than yesterday All those voices in your mind have begun to cry Forgotten souls have invaded your unstable mind forcing you to boast of things you wouldn't try (Chorus) (Bridge) Although those outlaws in the distance are swept away by fast talking fools to the shores across the mountains they will work hard with their tools and escape what may only seem a fate that lives through a dream and the air is so thick they can almost taste their fear All your followers are drunk and full of spite in the meantime you find out that something just ain't right You think twice about where you might have set your sights (Chorus) Well the time will soon be gone and vanish from your hands as you gaze up from underneath the starlight forever

These "Jasmine Dreams" albums have been one of my great joys to record/relive/revisit these songs and memories: Special thanks goes out to my mother Agnes Frechette and father Jules Frechette for encouraging me as a young songwriter and musician in my formative years as I found my voice as an artist. I will forever be in appreciation and pay forward this grace to inspire future generations to find their voices through their songs.

Interesting to note that today (July 27, 2021) is the 30th anniversary of the day my dad and I bought the Jasmine 12 string guitar.
