People Watch To See You Fall You made your way your way and made your world your own sad to see how much pain you caused just by being alone there were tears and murder spilling from every foe you'd make You did this world a favor when you gave everyone a break (Chorus) You had lots of potential potential to quit you can still come up like roses when you don't give what you don't get you can have all your medals they'll all still hang there on your walls when you ain't got nobody people just watch to see you fall These days I see you howling out of tune for the moon you ain't no highway diamond you're just an old silver spoon you were unkind to your woman unkind to all your rich and poor that left just the hellhounds who were always at your door (Chorus)

Return To Zero Are you following the blind man who put you with the strange crowd? Nothing but a dreamer squandering your only life. Failing to be critical. Standing on a gilded ocean. Sinking to its vast floor. Floor. Are you following the blind man? Being put on a high shelf? Where now you fall you once danced kicking at the hard floor. Standing on a gilded ocean. How do you do today? Today? Prince of the underworld, who will die to make you king? Smoke will fill your lonely life, pain will touch your kindest words. Being left out of romance. Being left abandoned in a trance. Sinking to the vast floor. Floor.

The Comfort Of Lies I see madness and rage and the fear in the face of my reflection and I wonder sometimes why I bother to stand in its way. I mean, looking at all of the things that I've left unaccomplished If I weren't a child I could have anything my own way But it's true when you're true to yourself you've got to be happy. I prefer the comfort of lies any old day. (chorus) oooh, everything's all right well I'm here for a reason ooooh, no need to get uptight, everything is all right ooooh, everything's all right well I'm here for a reason Just wasting my time thinking of the fate of the nation. What can I do when nobody knows what to expect? Just a child of the wild, I can be king of the world now. Making my way to the gold mine, oh yeah. Well I may just be a poor boy Gotta be happy. I prefer the comfort of lies any old day. (chorus)
4.
Without Trust When you're with me I'm on fire I have no doubt in my desire you seem to doubt what's been so long it hurts to see this going on. You say I'm out to make you blue I'm behaving so untrue, but there's no doubt I'm here with you what's with this heavy point of view? (chorus) Without trust you've got no love you've got fear in skies above you've got denial and trials of pain instead of sunshine you've got rain but that rain still makes flowers grow the rain still makes rivers flow but so little sunshine ain't enough without trust you've got no love. Just because I look around, don't mean I'm out to let you down. Just because I've been a fool, don't mean I'm trying to be cruel. Just be my one and only love I hope I satisfy enough. There must be places pain can hide we can't see through what's left inside. (chorus)
5.
Can I Be Your Preacher's Son? Even the blazes blow cold and lonesome Even the faintest darkness seems clear I don't know whose side you've stepped onto but I know I love you whenever you're near. And the blues wake me in the morning His memories won't echo my dreams to be beside you holding sincerely every piece of your heart eventually (Bridge) I want an answer before the sunrise I want a companion before the moonrise Just somebody who can eclipse me meet me halfway up in the sky (Solo) (Bridge) Even the blazes blow cold and lonesome Even the faintest darkness seems clear I don't know whose side you've stepped onto but I know I love you whenever you're near. but I know I love you whenever you're near.

Poor Boy 02:50
Poor Boy Poor boy ain't got no clue ain't nothing special he can do but he can pick that cotten bale or go, man, go and he can pack a mean six gun and funnel enough liquor on the run to keep his good gal waiting back home. And he don't wait for no heat to put him in retreat. He'd be the first to tell you he's alone on that old coyote trail where picking cotton never fails to hide you and send the proceeds back home. Poor boy he's got no choice but to whisper in a voice that tells you he's been up to no good with his cotton bale well round and his head pointing to the ground listening for the heat hooves in the woods.. and he don't wait for no heat to put him in retreat he'll grab his 20 cents like a poor boy should and he's off the other way way on south to Mobile Bay where he'd only sail away if he could. Poor boy ain't got no clue ain't nothing special he can do but he can pick a rotten bale or go, man, go and he can pack a mean six gun and funnel enough liquor on the run to keep his good gal waiting back home. to keep his good gal waiting back home. to keep his good gal waiting back home.

Home On A Banjo Roll (Chorus) I'm counting down the days until I'm home I'll be home Filling up my soul Pulling up the Uncle Sam to get on home I'll be home on a banjo roll. I grew up with the mustangs in the fields This survival-instinct-city-life ain't real (Chorus) She's sweeter than candy and loving to my heart I can't tell good luck and back luck apart (Chorus) I wish I had more because I ain't got a lot I'm tired of feeling cold floors through my socks (Chorus) (Solo) When the feeling's gone you're just living a lie I'll soon be paving this highway goodbye (Chorus)
8.
Running On Octaves She's got a beautiful vibe (Running on Octaves, Running on Octaves) She no longer needs to hide (Running on Octaves, Running on Octaves) Her spirit never lets me be She's the ocean I am free to be anything I want to be and my heart is running a wide melody (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) She's showed me where she'd like to go (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) from the highest peak to the warmest lows (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) I'm hoping we can make the world a better place put away this poker face while we take the spotlight off disgrace Running on Octaves. (Bridge) There's nowhere I would rather be Than singing harmony in key With someone melting misery with all these songs still left in me She's got a beautiful vibe (Running on Octaves, Running on Octaves) She no longer needs to hide (Running on Octaves, Running on Octaves) Her spirit never lets me be She's the ocean I am free to be anything I want to be and my heart is running a wide melody (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) (Running on Octaves, Running up Octaves) (Running up Octaves, Running on Octaves)

I'll Change 03:00
I'll Change I'll change for you Because it's worth the pain I'm saving you I'll change yes I will for you (chorus) I fear that love won't be what it was I fear what will become of this love. I know if I'm easy to love again I'll have to thank you for then (chorus) Astray I'll go If you find someone who won't hurt you I hear them all concerned for you. (chorus)
10.
Lord, There Is No Simple Highway. (chorus) Lord, there is no simple highway nor no land of make believe make the best you can of your road let good God show you the way. There ain't no rhyme or reason there's just a call you have to heed there's no walls to guide your troubles down the highway you've been freed. There's no rules, no regulations nothing you can't understand there's no business in you living without the grace of good God's hand. (chorus) You may fall and you may stumble as you rise as high as might may you make your way through misfortune there is no wrong there is no right. (chorus)
