Running Man 03:57
Running Man I love the silver wings on the prayers that I’m flying all the way down to lands I’ve gone There’s no silllhouettes from silence and I know I’m about to find my blues Times are going crazy now I right my path away from all the sin. I can no longer be some child inside a prayer I am now a running man fighting for some air I believe in nights laid bare she just sleeps away these moments I would share That I would share (Chorus) Find your way from follow to the lead Find your way from frozen to the speed Find your way from nothing to the need Find your way from stolen to the freed Find your way from broken to the seed Find your way to salvation from the greed. I must carry on this decision is mine I can’t turn my back on anything but an open wound of mine It’s really time to heal time to feel before I waste anybody’s time ever again (Chorus) I can no longer be some child inside a prayer I am now a running man fighting for some air I believe in nights laid bare she just sleeps away these moments I would share That I would share

I Need To Find A Love For Mary I need to find a love for Mary Someone in shape Be younger and smarter live near Monterey and have it all squared away She’s been all alone now for so many years Her lone highway of diamonds has now become a sad trail of tears I’ll have to find a love for Mary They’ve left a heart in the dust She’s been replaced by the Masters She’ll survive if she must and it’s hard to be Mary I understand her song There’s nowhere to go except luck when the roads have gone on so wrong. I have to find a love for Mary She’s been so alone upset and hopeless and almost being thrown from her home She’s unable to make money Because she’s too proud She knows what she’s deserving but somehow the luck just holds her down I have to find a love for Mary a Dream man alone He’s tall and he’s handsome and looking to save someone’s soul I have to find a love for Mary I’ll write her a poem turn it into a song and never sing it for Mary while she’s still all alone.

Mystery Dream Sometimes I don’t know where to turn But I know my heart will find a way If there ever was a bridge to burn I’d have to find the heart to stay So no matter what you see Somehow it all adds up to me Even though somedays I hope and pray This dream is something I can save (Chorus) This is no mystery dream And I feel so left behind It’s been a long hard road Searching for what fate I’ll find and I’m still on that road Please be a friend of mine. I’ve counted days I’m down standing like a broken tree I still have roots but I can’t grow The sky has made a fool of me And I’m still hanging around Don’t make a memory of me You know I’ll be in the past you found Back when we’d never disagree. (Chorus)
4.
Gypsy Wind Do Blow I’m going down a river To find another soul Someone else is thirsty Someone I don’t know We’ll lock eyes in the sunshine While the gypsy band does play We’ll be the survivors and feel the bad dreams wash away She’ll be a survivor A broken soul of gold She’ll be the sound of music When the gypsy band goes cold No fire will uproot us But it will burn inside our dreams Until the summer winds do blow And dry the winter streams Gypsy wind do blow blow her song along my mind I have heaven in my heartache and she’s so hard to find Gypsy wind do blow The river overflows Find her dancing to the music The heartbeat of the soul Going down a river To find another soul

Don't Know Where We're Going To Wind Up Seasons come and go and now we're on our way to a road and we don't know where we're going to wind up We've got the blues in our working shoes sending out love not getting news and we don't know where we're going to wind up It's no way for a dreamer to live in a world that forgets what we give if we find a home to settle down we'll be giving our heart and soul to this town but luck is going to have to play a part lots of wheels out there to outsmart and we don't know where we're going to wind up if we wind up in Felton or Boulder Creek there'll be a rocking band up your street. and we don't know where we're going to wind up It's no way for a dreamer to live in a world that forgets what we give if we find a home to settle down we'll be giving our heart and soul to this town
6.
The Eleventh Hour Empire There's nowhere to run when we don't have control and the man can come take us at will then we're gone to the gallows there's too many rules in their factory mills maybe we're all criminals running fast in the shadows (Chorus) The past ain't the future now all is amiss it's plain to see people can't go on like this All these regulations limitations of bliss Babylon don't need our gold when the eleventh hour empire gets sold. We burn rubber dreams on the way up their hill with only so much time to go it's already too high to climb and they jack up the prices they jack up the fines the corporate right on a roll why do we do time? (Chorus) All of the customs immigration and suits think freedom is not a pursuit but a world they devise but freedom brings nomads where they belong for millenia nothing was wrong but still the heart beats in a country that dies (Chorus)
7.
Sing And Sail With Me I’ve walked the line a half a million times there’s so much ocean in me If I sail away would you take me back? Because I know you will not follow me Goodbye California I’m a sick me Canada will take care of me They’d take care of you too It’s hard to swallow the truth when everything here tastes of greed When everything here tastes of greed (Chorus) A routine is a dead man walking A song is a friend in need A friendship is meant for just talking Why not come and sing and sail with me? I know you’re tired of adventure and adventure is just as tired of you Can’t expect everyone to have fun When the hard times is all you can do. So off and away I’ll be sailing today to my sweet new romance where I’ll land May the wind be your Marigold companion and the rain beat the drum in your band. May the rain beat the drum in your band. (Chorus) (Bridge) You know it’s never too late to be an angel Even when the world has followed you down When it’s time for the change you’ll be running your soul back to town You’ll be running your soul back to town. (Chorus) I’ve walked the line a half a million times there’s so much ocean in me
8.
Hearts May Find My Love Again Give me some air I want some A rainy misty day in your arms Let me kiss without denying Lone moments pass when we’re apart (Chorus) Someday a new song will appear in dreams I’ll sing for years on end and life will soar on without fear and hearts may find my love again Why can’t dreams like this surround me? Why do I live on one old song? She rhymes so fine but when I play her I’m getting the rhythms and chords all wrong (Chorus) Sometimes you go where you’re not wanted Even though you’re needed in the end I’ve survived a wildfire of desire In this little life I’ve felt now and then (Chorus) Too bad the scene will be replayed In the broken heart saloon Always someone I’ll never love And my friend this certainly ain’t you (Chorus)
9.
Forever One Step Short Of Heaven In your desire my heart won't fade our lives will build sometimes to break shadows will fall between our mistakes and we'll be forever one step short of heaven I wrote a song on the back of my guitar something deep inside me I've not taken very far sitting on a gold mine when potential is all that you are and we'll be forever one step short of heaven (Bridge) When do we talk and share all these fears? needs not set aside paths forever clear dreams that are just silly thoughts poems that are just words I'll put some money in these pots and some seed out for these birds We're going to take the next step tonight we're bound to set this matter in the light nowhere else to go but to end this shadow fight or we'll be forever one step short of heaven Children of the future too silent to pray lives in denial spirits sent away sometimes it's time to shake it up or to call the dream a day or we'll be forever one step short of heaven or we'll be forever one step short of heaven

A New Song Of Beauty I sang a song quickly, it came from a mountain. It came from a mountain and it laid in the sand. Out of the great nowhere a new song was singing. I felt it inside me going out to the land. She wasn't a sad song or one I could hold on. It was a sweet melody of plain truth to me. She stayed in my heart and I heard it forever. It was in my last moments before I would sleep. (Chorus) Ooooh, sing a new song of beauty. Ooooh, sing a song to feel through me. Ooooh, sing a song to be with me. Ooooh, a new song of beauty. When sadness blew through the life I could not tame with the people so wild with their sorrow and pain. I felt the song shiver and bring me back to beauty. Beauty I'd heard and felt were the same. (Chorus) As evening passes through days long together, when the nights are so silent while the dead reach the sky. I'll always remember this new song of beauty. It will always sing in me 'til my heart runs dry. (Chorus)

What Dreams Fear Takes Away Just for the sake of starting over You are her friend From every beginning waits another long climb directly to an end Where ever you’ve gone, babe, is somewhere you’ll be Someday looking back while Sunday is shining bright lights on your knees Whenever it’s late To be taking home a fool You’ll be a sinner Obey a new kind of rule Late in the night Or early in the day When you’re on your own You’ll be fulfilling what dreams fear takes away. She won’t have you back If you’d rather be gone Driving around town Errands of betrayal as summertime drags on You can’t ask her to give in oh, and join in the crusade You know it would be fun but it just ain’t the way these sad stories are made Whenever it’s late To be taking home a fool You’ll be a sinner Obey a new kind of rule Late in the night Or early in the day When you’re on your own You’ll be fulfilling what dreams fear takes away.
