Good Kind Man

lyrics

Good Kind Man

He was a good kind man
he always gave a smile
I remember him being around
I haven't seen him for a while
I asked his mom and papa
where the good kind man did go?
Their tired faces smiling
"we put him in a home".

He worked at the co-op
loading food onto a truck.
Gave the boss no trouble
Just made his buck.
he had few friends
wasn't a social man
But I talked to him when I saw
he was a good kind man.

I found out through a friend
he'd done some strange things.
He dressed up like a woman
and hung his dog on a string.
But I laughed and said, "please,
he's a good kind man
and until he hurts me
I'll be as pleasant as I can."
