Infinity Dream

He was only 18 when the dream came his way.
He saw a pow wow shining in the field he could see.
He woke from the dream wondering what spoke to him
and wanted to know what the vision would be

So he asked his grandmother if she knew anything
She said, "You were born Metis and your mother and me."
She said, "My green eyes were a dead giveaway.
The visions I had of the life I lived free."

She asked him to see if the dream was the same.
She spoke of the elders and the bagpipes they played.
She spoke of the dances, the jigs, and the reels
she asked of the ceremony
how long they prayed.

It turned out his dream and hers were the same.
They sat for long and they talked and embraced.
The long years not knowing had melted away
and the questions of ages with Infinity replaced.
