If It Ain't My Old Friend If it ain't my old friend Ain't seen you in a while sorry I lost your number glad you're still alright I've been through a lot and I hope you understand I still thought about you and hoped we'd meet again You used to say you'd save enough to say you lost Do you think you wasted your time Because time is what this cost I told you all my stories and you told me some of yours we grew close together remember we laughed before Now you stand there listening to my voice singing your song I bet inside you're thinking what a shame it's been so long thank God for the good weather the sun shining in the sky let's split the breeze together and catch up on these times.

I'm Good To Go (Chorus) Rooster crows baby and you should know there ain't nowhere that a cock can't crow you take the monkey from a jungle gym and he'll still swing if you let him same goes for me baby if you want this monkey on your tree I'm gonna swing and I'm good to crow and if you wanna lay baby I'm good to go So the other day I was out walking looking around there wasn't anywhere I could eat So I went into the shop where they can serve you fast and the prices just can't be beat then I made myself a little coconut drink and I bought myself a chicken trick and I don't know why I felt so strange but I really had to keep my seat you know that I couldn't keep my seat. So when I call you tonight baby out on a date gonna ask you to go to the zoo and I wonder how much two civilized people can learn watching to see what animals do and if it ain't too late we can appreciate an evening at the chicken barn and if you wanna stay we can roll in the hay because ain't no chicken gonna give a darn. (Chorus)

Trouble In The Land There's an angel of glory who spreads her wings above the lives we know she waits until there'll be a chance to teach our love to grow everywhere the ancient stairway beckons some to go return to teach those jilted left in fields of autumn snow (Chorus) Far above these times of trouble in the land stands a heaven of hope where we may rise again if we believe in the glory believe that these hands must give only to the helpless in the times of trouble in this land Flowing from honor comes a shield to reach before the blade this underworld is stirring like a devil's broken cage I cling steadfast to innocence although dreams belie our age We drown in earthly bounty before we turn the page (Chorus) (Bridge) Far above you understand far above these worldly plans shadows fall not from the moon or from you everywhere the ancient stairway beckons some to go return to teach those jilted left in fields of autumn snow (Chorus)

Evil Beauty 02:17
Evil Beauty Murder neath the warm grey skies of Basra where one may wince at martyrs on the outskirts of their duty where the lies get blurred and crossed like eyes of anger from the Mosque to the graves of innocence and evil beauty fare thee well to the graves of innocence and evil beauty Their duty is to their country to their flags and oil they are hiding from nobody their fight of grave turmoil why must we condescend those who we've harmed so long nobody neath the warm grey skies of Basra (Chorus) Ramadan Saudi Arab Ramadan Hooray Ramadan Saudi Arab Ramadan Hooray We should leave them to their liberty like babes in woods They have no need to share with us for our greater good we have all we need to change and let there be a day where we will use no more resources to be left in harms away and the graves of innocence of evil beauty fare thee well to the graves of innocence of evil beauty (Chorus)

For The Love Of The Song There's this girl she's my companion We're gonna change the world we're gonna make the songs for the boys and girls 'cause this world's crazy and there's nothing else to do that doesn't involve spending money and making misery too. (Chorus) I'm gonna try for the love of the song I'll try to get the world to sing along I'm going to try for the love of the song and the world is going to sing along Janey got married she got fat Buster took her out of jail and she gave him a heartattack and Dale hated his 9 to 5 job and Cory got beat up when he was at the mall. (chorus) but you know that it's hard when you're on your own you try to get busy stay on that telephone you can't be alone there's no way to choose I'm hoping some young people gonna help me sing this tune. (chorus) We ain't reached the end we ain't reached the end we just get busy we pretend to have friends and we talk about what we own what we know and what everyone says is gonna go. (chorus)

Angel In My Life I wrote a little song not to say what is wrong about what's been going right in my life an angel came from above and she filled me up with love now there's something going right in my life. I'm going up to see the angel of my dreams I want to see my angel in real life It's been years since we met and longer since she left and I want to see the angel in my life. She's pretty as a song that can play the whole night long on my worn out needle that can't be replaced She charms without a sound Yet she's the prettiest song I found on my worn out needle that can't be replaced It's true she understands the love of just one man she knows I'm true and i'll be first and last True love comes around so rare to a man too burned to care but I'm no longer shackled to the past. I'm going to see my bride she's always by my side deep down she's been there through the long cold nights I got tired of the dream it's not as good as Angeline Deep down she's been there through the long cold nights. I wrote a little song not to say what is wrong about what's been going right in my life an angel came from above and she filled me up with love now there's something going right in my life. I'm going up to see the angel of my dreams I want to see my angel in real life It's been years since we met and longer since she left and I want to see the angel in my life.

A Cry For A Miracle Believing is easy I can say I've done my share Believing in secrets Little tales that I don't care to hear but these dreams you mention what if tomorrow ain't ever born? In the heart of the matter you'd be crying for a miracle now and in the heart of the matter you'd be crying for a miracle now All the people they took their turns turning you away saying maybe it's time that you showed some spirit all you gotta do is say goodbye but you were stricken to the heart by the injustice of the truth in the heart of the matter you were crying for a miracle now and in the heart of the matter you'll be crying for a miracle now I think we better start pretending to show our will to show a little bit of faith too many endings and not enough beginnings take each tread by the mile who cares if we're blind? If our hope was to shatter we'd be crying for a miracle now In the heart of the matter we're crying for a miracle now.

Gentler Days 02:33
Gentler Days The brokenhearted lover had left alone his dreams only to suffer the fact he was free. His eyes were mistaken, he had few wounds to mend so he turned around and went back and broke his heart again. He worshipped the villains with women by their side - you could see the adulation that spread across his eyes. His moments were lucky but he hadn't much to say. He'd go home a lonely man despite all that he gave. (Chorus) If you turn back now - you'll never find your way - back to where you came from - the time of gentler days x 2 Desperately trying to keep out of sight - he packed all his possessions at the end of the night. His visions were blurred by the dusty days of time. He'd forgotten what true love was and how hard it was to find. (Chorus)
9.
The Book Of James (chorus) The more you search the less you gonna find can't you see it's all in your mind The people are afraid to stretch their lines but that's where all the beauty lies Have some faith that God is on your side You gotta keep moving so you don't get wrapped up too tight. The book of James tells me it's gonna be all right. The whole dark dream awoke me I flew the cuckoo's nest Living in a skyscraper religion The heroes of today just out to make a buck flying free with their heads in the sand. (Chorus) Mental junk emotional puzzles muzzles spending your money just to guzzle cheap draft God's wrath when you can't do the math and you can't keep up You singing like a New York City horn You've gotta relax to be reborn. (Chorus)

Jack River Blues Me and my pal Jack River went riding on a windy day Found ourselves an oceanfront on the fourth of May he started playing on his axe I started singing kind of flat we looked like a couple lost souls looking for a song to play. Funny thing was, people walking by weren't smiling much We adjusted our music to include jazz and standards and classical crutch John Fogerty took a back seat even though he's better on the beat and the street didn't care even though we was having a ball. (chorus) Everybody saying things I don't want to hear I keep running into people who I used to hold so dear who shoot down all my dreams of leaving town Ooooh they don't want to let me get on any higher ground. Well I pulled some cash from a backpack threw it in the case pretty soon it got crazy when a cop showed up to get us out of the place and we said we didn't have a dime making having fun that time and he gave us a dirty look that made us remember his face. Next thing you know me and Jack were standing in a bar and a DJ came out in a real nice suit and a cuban cigar and he looked at us with our guitars and started laughing from afar so we flipped him the bird and made for the door of the dance club stars. (chorus) So we wound up standing in the door in the line of the club we pulled out our guitars and sang them all a little Courtney Love and the strangest thing occurred me and Jack River heard a booing sound coming from the Hilfiger whiggers and their tough luck looks. So we got arrested for playing the blues for the Backstreet Boys Someone called a cop and they dialed up the number on their cell phone toy and we had to pay out a fine for having so much fun that time and we made 9 bucks busking for some pennies in the rat race noise. (chorus)

It's Good To Be A Born Again Christian It's good to be a born again Christian doesn't matter which age or race or class with Jesus on your side nothing can hurt you even broken hearts as sharp as broken glass. I've grown enough to learn to let those divisions burn those fences, walls and bridges I don't need when God talks he takes his turn to let the firefly burn a torch going to lead us to the key. (chorus) It's good to be a born again Christian doesn't matter which age or race or class with Jesus on your side nothing can hurt you even broken hearts as sharp as broken glass. Following a path to a journey a journey to a road to a path all along the way I'll be a walking Jesus my heart open to the worlds without wrath. Dancing on the fires found within us Jesus wrote the book that I'm given. Loving every moment above and beyond us Jesus wrote the book that I'm living. (chorus)

Dumb Money 03:14
Dumb Money (chorus) Money is bad bad bad bad Money is bad bad bad bad I'd rather be in the hole because if I had dumb money it would be dumb money could be the lotto or a playboy bunny could be a windfall, sibling croak it would be dumb money it would be a joke. I'd spend it wrong because I made it wrong no investments or shares I'd be taking on my friends would be numerous postively humorous, their smiles would be luminous all day long there's more to life and love but it sucks it's just people running around thinking about their bucks they're either saving it, craving it, caving it, waving it, paving it, braving it, Letterman Dav'n it tequila and tabasco, whiskey and tobacco whacky, hacky, happy, sappy, crappy and then broke as a joke. (chorus) Soon I'll be straight as circle squeezing on a dime pausing for a moment while I'm cuffed for a crime cussing and a lustin all the memories I'm sussing musn't fuss when everything's been mine I'm looking for the navy to make me a little gravy or maybe I'll find a rich little lady she can call me funny when I take her dumb money and do it all over again. (chorus)
